Dawkins is one of the more militant, outspoken foes of religion.
“Richard Dawkins was slated to give a talk with a radio station [KPFK] in the city of Berkeley to discuss his latest book: Science in the Soul: Selected Writings of a Passionate Atheist.”
Naturally, being an avowed atheist, Islam comes under his glare. The “compassionate liberals” at KPFK, while perfectly fine with his condemnation of anything Christian, felt threatened and offended that he might find something to criticize in Islam.
Their action is called “virtue signalling” (“the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one’s good character or the moral correctness of one’s position on a particular issue.”)
