Volutary tax in Norway

Norway has one of the highest income taxes – the top rate is 47%. The economy stumbled in the last few years as crude oil prices sank. The government (center-right) decided to offer Norwegians a way to help out: a voluntary tax.
From their 5.3 million people, they got just $13250.

That’s probably because there aren’t that many liberals in Norway – liberals would have contributed millions.
